My A4 has an annoying rattle at the top of the door. I've read that it is a fault with the door not meeting the seal sufficiently. If I pull the door in at the top of the frame then it stops and starts again after a few bumps.

Is there any permanent fix for this? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif

When you say rattling, do you mean the wind noise issue? If so there is an article in AW tech which may help.

Errrm. I think it is more of a rattle.
I've checked that thing out, it is how to combat wind noise on the mirrors. Hmmmm, might get a hammer out!!!!

could be the fuse box cover. Mine rattles... annoying as, next time you hear it, stick your finger between the door and the dash and see if holding the fuse cover makes any difference, just an idea (I know you said top of door)

yeah it is defo the top of the door.
i heard that the door frame is seperate to the rest of the door and wondered whether it can be readjusted to fit tighter?
