My car has an oem subwoofer

Had the a4 for about a year now. Pretty un-eventful. Last weekend I was hoovering it for the 1st time and started poking about in the wee cubby hole on the left hand side of the boot.

To my amazement the big black plastic thing that was behind the cover had a nokia sticker on it. After cracking on the radio and giving it a feel it appears to be vibrating. Cashback!

Standard stereo in the car sounds pretty good to me (apart from a crackly volume pot), do these subs run from a pre-out on the headunit?

Pretty happy about that little discovery

Its an early car though, so might not have had "concert" from new.

My old 98 Avant poverty spec 1.6 had one.

my not very pov spec 01 avant doesn't have one but my mates pov spec a3 does

From what I remember, you could spec the car without radio 95, 96 & early 97 (possibly on-wards) so you just got the basic 4 speakers, and a wiring harness, so you were able to connect an aftermarket system.
