Dash display

Hi guys

I have a year 2000 model 2,8 quattro and the display between the rev counter and speedo is starting to fail. Can these be fixed at all. If not where does one get a new unit from, are they audi only parts.

various companies can replace them, usually at a cost of around £200.

Thanks for this guys, does this fix still work with the display that also does the sat Nav, as mine is one of those. If this trick does not work which are the best firms to contact for a replacement unit

Siena is replacing my lcd display at the moment,was quoted something stoopid for an audi supplied unit(£700+)
