Finally this weekend, after 6 weeks of waiting a received a big old pallet of Recaro boxes just for little old me! Christmas has come early!

The seats are Recaro Pole Postion, in black leather and blue suede, a perfect match for the rest of the interior in my S4. They look sexy! They feel sexy! Dammit they're gorgeous, all warm and buckety to sit my little buns in! Really comfortable for fixed backs, very supportive, feels like I'm driving a race car now. Plus piece of cake to fit, once I figured out which of the million supplied nuts and bolts I needed to use where.

I managed to get a good deal at Edition38, direct from Recaro, 20% off, so I paid roughly £920 all in, that's subframes, side mounts, seats and airbag resistor kit, nearly £300 cheaper than list price. A few quid, but most definately worth it. They match a treat!

And they weigh in at just over 7kg each, a wee bit lighter than the standard seats.

My missus was actually the one who persuaded me to get them?!?! She loves bit of bucket! Should I be worried? Or just very thankful!

Yeah, pretty damn comfy, think it's because it supports your weight very evenly over a larger surface area, not just your cheeks and a bit of your back, they have an adjustable lumber cushion behind the blue ones to get them to fit you even better.

my mates got some of these in his 911, he did a tour of europe this summer said they are the comfiest seats ever. drive all day get out fresh in his opinion worth every penny. (even though they are quite a few pennies!)

what does the subframe look like on those? does it require lots of drilling and bolting?

subframes are designed / bought to fit the S4/RS4 so they are bolt straight on

The subframe works and mounts in exactly the same way as the original Audi seats, very easy to fit, no modifications needed, undo the clip at the front of the frame, unscrew the 2 plastic covers at the rear of the runners and slide the seat rearwards and out.

Adam, I may have to move my seatbelts like you have, they're a bit of a pain using them outside of the seats, are they easier to put on and take off where you have them?

If you can, get to a show where Recaro have a stand, give em a call I guess they'd tell you. I got mine at edition38 with 20% off, a massive saving of just over 300 notes! Well worth hunting them down.

They are so comfy it's unbelievable! I've now swapped my door cards to black and taken out my rear seats so they match the interior (or lack of ) now
I really felt with the standard Recaros I sat on the car rather than in it, not so anymore. I really feel a part of the car now, very connected. And they still work with CG locks which really finishes them off :thumbsup:

yes, they were part of the options and came in full black leather with a smaller recaro and rs4 emblem, they came as per the picture as well

You'd be surprised, my mate's a good 18-19 stone, not quite 6'4" but he's big on weight training so he's broad, especially at the shoulders, and he drove with me a 500miles to the Ring and back no problem, comfiest seats ever! They do do a wide option too.
