Fitting CD changer in saloon?

Got my trusty Alpine 6 disc sat here, the cables already installed now need to mount the unit itself. How did Audi fit the changer in the saloon as if I can source OE bits to keep it neat I'd be happier.

Any pics would be super if possible.

Theres a wee bucket thing that sits in the side of the boot on a prefacelift.

On a facelift they built out the side panel and installed a cubby hole with a metal framework to hold the changer.

Can I retrofit the facelift parts easily enough? Do I just need the cage and side trim/door?

If they are compatible I have the cage and all boot trim on my breaker which you can have foc if you come and collect

i think you might need to install a couple of rivnuts for the cage, but yes, they should be compatible

My brother put the facelift side panel into his S4 when he had it, and that worked fine.
