VAG-COM ebay cheap lead and cd, does it work?

As the title says, on ebay there are a lot of cheap obd2 vagcom leads and copys of the programme, do these work, i only need to clear minor codes etc

The basic £10 leads and the free version of vagcom works fine.

The ebay ones are very limited in what they do. ie: they will clear codes but not show you the description of what they are/were, you cant recode modules etc...

If your just looking to clear the faults, it'll do the job just fine

EBay leads and VCDS light will have limited functions but will be fine for our B5s.

What about when you set your airbags off after being covered in snow from a lorry and smashing into a squirrel on the hard shoulder?! wont reset the airbag lights!
