NEW DOOR COMPONENTS WITH PICS

Hello gents. Just scrapped my alpine co-axials and dropped in some 13cm EDGE components with crossovers. No amp powering these guys, just 4x50rms from the alpine HU. These components were only 40 quid from halfrauds. They fit perfectly (with off the shelf adapters). Went crazy with the dynamatt too which makes a lot of sense considering the weird door card mounting of the A4's have! Lol! I was considering an amp to drive these but wanted to see what the sound was like with just the HU powering them. I am REALLY impressed with the sound. Deep thudding bass with no distortion even at full whack and crystal clear treble. These favor very well to the £140-200 components I've had in the past. You can't beat them for under a ton. Will post pics soon.

Just out of interest, what adapters did you use?

just for info really. you can get them off ebay for £33 delivered if anyone wanted some....

look good though. components use to cost a bomb!

No they didnt foul the doors or anything else. Fit well with adapters. Use of Dynamatt makes a big difference. They are actually very good components!
