HI,has anyone recently purchased a convienience module,and how much did you pay, i require one to do my B7 key upgrade but am being quoted stupid amount of money from car breakers.

why do you need one for a B7 key upgrade? didn't change mine when i did it :s

Dont you have to change it if your B6 is before 2002/3 from memory because they are a different module unlike later B6's.

Ive seen them on ebay for between £60 -£100

just had mine done my mechanic charged £271 plus vat and sourced from TPS and then had to part programme it as well for my 05 plate cab

Found one on ebay for £60, with all the connectors, dealers wanted £340.
vcds lite let me code it, but not do adaptation for pairing the keys etc, keep looking mate, theres a few on there..

edit, just seen the date and remembered your post to me a week or so ago, saying you've done it, golden **** award goes to....

Lol, did it at least two years ago now, still a great mod to do though.
