I bought a 2004 Audi a4 1.8 turbo on Sat, Test drove it, inspected whole of car, nothing obviously wrong, Full main dealer Service History. Car had even just had a basic service inc oil filter and renewal of oil (fully synthetic) 3 days before. Then ion way home while driving oil light started flashing, thought I'd stop at next garage and get some more oil, then engine started to sound a bit roar and a l tittle rattly So pulled the car over asap on hard shoulder, Whilst pulling over i noticed s i was driving that thecar wouldn't go above 3,500 RPM no matter what and when pressing accelerator harder some smoke cam out of exhaust? AA picked me up and said it was possibly oil pump, residue and then the turbo? Oil was in the pipe leading to the turbo?
Why don't Audi just admit failure here, and help us as it was my first Audi, and already i feel like never buying one again. Any clues as to what really has happened here sounds just like the above.
Anyone had any luck going to Audi? Awaiting repair bill!
