Symphony radio code

Hi, I've got an 03 Avant SE with a symphony wireless in it. I never received the code when I bought the car, but need to remove it to remove a phone car kit. I'm sure I read on here somewhere that if the stereo goes back into the same car, then the code doesn't need inputting again. Can anyone shed any light on this for me. Thanks in advance. Matt

You wont need a code if the radio is being re-fitted to the same car.
