I bought a new hub from a 2000 1.8t a4 saloon the other day

I've had new arms waiting to go on for months, and because I need my car daily I thought il build the new hub up, get the pinch bolt out etc
Then just swap the brakes over and refit

Well as I fitted the arms I noticed the bottom ball joints are different between old and new, yet when I replaced the drivers side arms last year they were the same, (2003 1.9)

Any input please

One on the left is the same. It's just how much boot is down the shaft.
One on the right, the seat has come out of the hub assembly. You need to take it off and put it back into the upright.

I've sorted the one on the left, :)
How the fick am I going to get that off, I thought it was the seat and tried to get it off but had no luck.
Might see the engineers at work tomorrow

Il give it ago tomorrow if not il get it done.
Might try a bearing puller on it too

Managed to get it off in one go,
New hub assembly is all built up ready to go on now :)
