I got the tip at Audizine (I think).

At first I wasn't sure if it worked (things always look clean when they're wet) but they're still good the next day.

Yeah, mine look really nice when wet too, which always bugs me as they look cack when dry. Will have to give this a try when it's sunny next. It's currently raining again...booo. The last week has been so nice!

I don't know. My rails and mirrors are the matt aluminum style. Could be worth a try.
