Just had my car serviced (AVS) by the main dealers yesterday and I picked the car up today. Have done about 10 miles and now the engine light is lit. Light has never been lit in the 3.5 years of ownership before. There is no DIS warnings, even when I press the self diags button (next to the clock).

Not going to drive the car until I have called them on Monday but does anyone have any ideas of what the cause may be and could it be possibly related to the service?

Car is a 3.2 with just 15k on the clock BTW and 1 month out of warranty :(

I think is related to service and suspect it just needs VAG COM I wouldn't worry that much. But don't drive it.

Thanks for the reply. I've looked up the error light in the manual and its actually the "emmisions control" warning?

that can be a lambda sensor that is faulty... if that it is a cheap fix... not sure if related to service though...

Again... no worries!
