What's the difference in buying a Apr fuel pump for £800 as apose to having my oem refurbished by APR for £468 . Is there any difference in the running or performance of the pump ? Cheers
You could try the Loba hpfp? Loba S3 TTS HPFP Fuel Pump 2.0 tfsi
why not buy the autotech internals, probably the most popular and cheapest option, it is an easy job to fit
Yeh seen the auto tech internals but for around a extra £100 would rather let Apr do it and test it lol . Don't trust myself when it comes to stripping a such a important part as the fuel pump lol
Fitting the internals requires somewhere very clean.
I have an Autotech and had the internals fitted professionally but the APR or Loba are equally good.
I did mine on the conservatory table and used petrol to clean everything, I was walking inside with a half bottle full of petrol, tripped over the step and threw it straight over the table, wall and all down my arm, it took a while to clear the smell lol!
I can highly recommend the loba hpfp comes complete and tested by them so adds peace of mind and no need to worry about building it yourself .
Takes 5 mins to fit and 25 mins to get the black pipe underneath fitted which is a pain in the behind as not much room to work with but if you follow the guide on here its straight forward enough oh and remember and get a cam follower to change over while you have the pump off . (think loba now supply the cam follower as part of there hpfp but don`t quote me on that) .
Got mine from GNJ Motorsport and can recommend them as service was second to none .
Yeh seen the loba one but think it costs more than the APR one doesn't it
Sorry I meant the Apr rebuild wud b cheaper
