esp fault?

hi guys i was out last night in my 2007 s3 and the esp light came on the dash and said esp fault and to took at the manual. anything i could check?

Anyone in the bedfordshire areawith a vcds?

What fault code have you found for anything like ABS? It could be many different things but If there are no basic settings try the steering angle sensor reset method as per Ross Tech site, and possible the steering angle limit calibration. If you've got a full scan log for the car it may help.
