The emission control light is on all the time and limp mode kicks in occasionally on my 2.0 FSi. I suspect a faulty EGR valve again... it was replaced by an Audi garage 4 years ago (when the car was 5 years old). I'll get a vagcom error code to make sure, but what's the chances of Audi coughing up for this if it is the EGR valve? Is it a 3 year warranty on new/replaced parts? I'm tempted to try a DIY job if it's not covered.

+1 for NHN reply. I had some parts replaced under warranty with another manufacture and they would only give 1yr warranty. And that was if I contributed to the cost of replacement! If I didnt, no warranty was given...needless to say I stay away from those now.
