I was just putting together an auction for my now redundant S3 steering wheel and airbag and ebay popped up a message about shipping hazardous goods. I've had a look on Royal Mail's website and it appears posting airbags is prohibited with them. Has anyone shipped an airbag on here? If so, can you offer any advice on how to go about it?

yes dont tell them its an airbag
only way

I shipped my old steering wheel and airbag at the post office no one questioned anything I just tied string round it multiple times so it was secure then wrapped really well.

Shipped over 40 of them including internationally.

May sound stupid but trick is don't mention airbag - "Steering wheel, Dashboard"

Hasn't caused me a problem with RM/Citylink/DHL/Fedex or DPD

:)

Lying is your friend.

Most couriers dont accept a wide variety of mundane items. Youve probably already broken their rules without realising.

Toyota wont accept airbags back under warranty unless they have been deployed. But obviously deliver them.
It needs an electrical charge to set it off, ive tried many things, and never got one to deploy without wiring it up to a battery.
