a3 rear lights

HI all just got a3 sline 05 model had golfs passats etc, gone audi had it a few months noticed reverse light out drivers side, got the cluster out, the bulb is a smaller type on drivers side than passenger side it looks as though an insert has been placed into the bulb holder its dead anyway sent for one on ebay just wondered why?

THANKS New a3 owner and curious
 
Only one reverse light works it's meant to be like that

As said meant to only have one reverse light on 3doors

I love symmetry on cars that's the one thing that annoys me on the a3 hatchback!
 
i only found it out when i was looking at the coding in mine and noticed mine said both rear has fogs and reverse lights... made me look at a 3 door and found out they havent got it... another reason Sportback's are better :p
