In hot days or simply when in heavy traffic my 'BHZ' S3 suffers some serous heat soak.
I imagine other owners of the same car can tesdtify, right?

Was looking in to thermostats, searching for cooler-opening ones, but I found none.
The only part I came across is from Neuspeed, but is made for the older Golf.

Did anyone of you manage to address this problem?

I'm maybe just less sensitive to it,but I've never found this to be a problem.

In traffic, the oil temp doesn't rise, and at time the fans may come on,but really nothing unusual, and mine runs a good deal more power than yours currently.

I've owned a car previously where heat could be a serious issue, but that was something you'd be more familiar with as well I think...a GpN Escort Cosworth.

I understand, must be because UK is a much cooler place...

How are you finding the turbo kit? Are you running on stock internals?

After a lot of advice from Revo,AMD and Jonny Cocker, who's done this before, yes.

The general consensus seems to be that 450bhp and up to 450lbs is safe, but after that you do need uprated pistons and rods.

Mine currently runs 440 ish bhp,and 420lbs,but the rods etc are on the list for this year.

The car is as driveable as before around town and goes like stink when you want that.

Sounds great Alex,
I was just on the phone with a friend of mine that works at Revo. We are taking in to account the possibility of a 3071 on stock internals...
What are your figures on 0-60 now?

To be honest,I have no idea.

I do know it will give some pretty fast cars an ugly surprise, such as the latest model M5,and the Nissan GTR......the latter was all over the place trying to keep up on roads that should have suited a 4WD.

Generally,I don't go in for traffic light drags as I don't want to replace the clutch, but once moving,I think you'd be surprised how quick it is.
