Hi,

Just looking at doing the basics to my a3 and looking for a green cotton air filter.

They have one listed on the website although thats for the 140bhp tdi engine. Should this fit and work in my 170bhp version?

Thanks
Mark

def will fit, 140 and 170 engines are same specially with filters etc

yw, i want to order one too but heard that because they come oiled and some one said that the oil goes to MAF and cause problems etc...

I thought the green cottons were ok mainly the k&n and piper cross which are a little more greasy.

I had an aftermarket filter fitted in my car (170tdi) and it made 0 difference so i sent it back

A panel filter isn't going to give any noticeable improvements by itself.

Coupled with a milltek exhaust, dpf delete and re-map it should all tie in nicely and give you a nice increase in performance.

I thought that but to get a dpf delete, miltek exhaust and re-map it was going to cost me £1200 from JBS. Its mostly because of quattro that its that expensive. I have just remapped it for now, which made a nice difference. I really didnt think the panel filter was worth the money though.
