Removing the centre ( handbrake cup holder etc ) console

Anyone on here have any info on how to go about doing this?

Reason for doing so is i've bought an iPod adaptor and want to route it from behind the headunit to under where the cup holder/sliding storage space is next to the handbrake from underneath.


Any info/guides are greatly appreciated!

Need to take the console out ideally to route wiring etc through there so it doesnt obstruct the handbrake itself, alternatively feed some coathanger through to the rear ashtray/cubby hole that can be pulled out to the rear of the console.
 
Yeh any tips on how to remove the console? I spotted two bolts under the air conditioning bit and two if you remove the ash tray at the back but is that all there is to it?
 
2 on each side in footwell areas hidden behind covers, remove fag tray or storage cubby, remove the console knee rest arms from underneath with alan key & hidden bolts under climate, remove trim under handbrake, disconnect any connectors.
 
Anything i need to do with the gear gaitor surround?
