Hi guys, abit of help here if you may. My brother has an '05 2.0tdi 140. He was driving this morning when he says the car just lost alot of power and had loads of White smoke pouring from the exhaust. Firstly, does this sound like the turbos a goner, secondly, how much and how hard are they to change. The car still drives bit with hardly any power. any help would be much appreciated guys. :thumbsup:

i'd say yes, turbo gone, drive it any more and it will damage the engine as oil is being burnt very quick! good reason to get a hybrid turbo 
Get the head pressure checked first, white smoke is a sign of water being burnt which means head gasket!
Also check oil see if there appears any brown congeled crap, and water level....
