Has anyone used these plugs?? They are cheaper than the Standard plug........ Any thoughts recommendations? Can't believe there is not a sticky for plugs.

i'd be interested in seeing what the recommendations for plugs are too. Should we just stick with OEM for S3's or is there another make(s) that members would recommend?
I recently changed the plugs in my car, I bought a set of Bosche super 4's from halfrauds and when they were fitted my Idle was erratic, I called Halfrauds and told them the problem and they told me to bring them back and get a refund.
So I orderd a set of iridiums and fitted them and the car then idled fine, I discussed this with my local VW specialist and they said bosche super 4's arnt good for turbo engine's (I cant understand why) and they also recomended the Iridiums...

I have just gone onto the NGKFinders website and found the plug PFR6Q6458. Does anyone know if this is the same plug used at Audi main dealers as it seems to be about £15 cheaper for a set of 4 from ebay?

Funnily enough i have been running Bosch super 4's for about 3 years without a problem. Just wanted to give these others a try. Supposed to be good for 100,000 miles. Always a varied response when it comes to plugs.

I guess one of the plugs could have been "bad", from the factory..

According to the Denso rep, they've never had a plug go wrong due to manufacturing error. (Apparantly all returned faulty plugd are sent back to japan for tests)
Also, iridiums boast a power boost of 3-4 bhp in well tuned motors....

I have those NGK PFR6Q6458 in my S3 seem ok to me
got them in mine too, from ebay (searched for PFR6Q)
I am running the BKR6EIXs and they work very well. I was running Denso Iridium IK20s before that and when the engine got hot, the spark was getting blown out under full boost. This was due to the 1.1mm gap that the IK20 use. The BKR6EIX uses a 0.8mm gap which has eliminated my problem... THey work well
stock plug gap is 0.8 too

Yep it is but some of the iridium plugs are larger which in theory should be fine, but when you get into higher output, it makes a bigger difference. i only foudn the cause of my problem looking at supra forums. Caused high RPM high boost misfires...was a pain in the ****!
