Need a new battery?

Hi Folks

Audi 1.8T - 1998

Just recently, the car is sounding like its struggling to start, although it does start without too much fuss. I have noticed too, that the odeometer and the DIS average miles, time etc appear to reset to Zero.

Im just wondering if its just a battery problem or something more serious.

I have looked at some batteries online eg Varta, when I have done a search from a webby, the actual Varta site does not seem to spec the same battery. Does anyone know what the actual battery I need for my car?

Any help would be appreciated.

Bosch silver top everytime.
I'm assuming you've checked the obvious like the connections aren't corroded and the earth strap is OK?
Batteries only last about 4-5 years, so if it was changed in 2003 then it's due about now.
