Hi, im thinking of buying a new maf and n75 j valve, as from what ive been reading sounds like my car could do with them. Its been revo'd but just doesnt seem that quick, even after a new dv.

Anyway, just wanted to know what prices should i be looking at for them and where are the best places to get them from, i have tomorrow off and would like to buy and fit them tomorrow do audi normally stock these, or is the n75 j valve an aftermarket part??

Thanks

Allan

Get the MAF checked out before you replace it. There may be nothing wrong with it. Get someone local to you to check it out using vagcom.

Also be careful with the J valve, you could send your car into limp mode. Especially with the revo map..

I had both these parts replaced at the weekend at AMD, and the MAF cost me 72 quid from Audi Oxford, and the N75 cost me 55 quid, and beleive me, if your cars been as flat as mine has, youll be happy once you get these parts changed.

Well I have a vag cable turning up 2moro and already have the software so can check it all out 2moro, once i learn how to use it. I have an audi vw specialist garage 5 mins from my house, only just realised it there so gonna go check it out soon.

What is limp mode, i thought the j valve works well with a revo'd s3? May leave that then and hope my maf sensor is ****** as to explain my lack of speed.

I think there was a thread a while back about cleaning your MAF - might be worth a search (it's cheaper than £55) :)

Unless you know that your engine isn't running lean i wouldn't change from the stock version of the N75. If it's working OK it will be fine with just a remap, if you suspect it's ****** replace like for like not with a supposed 'race' one.
