Picked up my S3 on Friday afternoon from Audi, my first impressions are it is a very very quick car and the handling is amazing.

Already done 400 miles 0:)

Got a very strange noise when coming off the gas, makes a fluttering noise, sounds really cool but is this normal ?

Also can be jerky on some gear changes, Looking on the Forum sounds like the DV could be broken.

Covered under warranty anyway, will ring them today.

Anyone got the Forge DV006 ?

Are they completely silent or do they make a noise, do not want to buy one and get a whooshing noise.

But i like the noise it makes at the moment but i guess it is not supposed to make it !

Any Help Please !!

I got a Forge valve on my S3 and it's no noiser than the OEM valve but will last a LOT longer!

JBR Performance have them on offer right now - http://www.jbrperformance.co.uk/

It does sound like your stock valve is faulty though....

Will an Non-Standard Item void my Audi Warranty ? Or shall i save some money and get them to replace the original for FREE.

Obviously i can not tell if there is drop in performance as i have only driven my one for two days, it does fell jerky on the as i said before.

Thanks for your help m8 !

Scott

As Jon says, it is definately the DV... My A3 had exactly the same symptoms and i cured it by changing the DV!

Have sent u a PM.

Scotty, we recently had a groupbuy on the AmD Viper valve, I've seen it to be more reliable than the other aftermarket ones on the market, that's the story behind the viper valve, we were having so many problems with the other aftermarket DV's sticking that due to frustration we decided to solve the problem ourselves, after some development with turbo dynamics - a turbo specialist rather than just a simple engineering firm, the real understanding of what was needed to solve the problems bourne the viper /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif
