    Which air filter is best to get for the s3 please?

    I currently have a K&N panel filter, but I miss the turbo whistle I used to have in my other car so want to fit a pod filter.

    what are these like please?

    Over priced. Heat shield isn't needed, I run the S2000 filter, can't fault it.
    2001 1.8T Quattro Sport 89k covered ARY engine.
    Remapped at Badger 5, 213bhp - 235lb/ft torque.
    HS2K cone, FMDV008, Silicon TIP, 18" RS4 (reps), AP coilovers, Catch can, n249 bypass, Toyosport 3" Downpipe/Decat, S3 Front brakes, Polyflexed Dogbone, S3dave adjustable tie bars

    Soon to be done: SAI delete, Install the toyosport FMIC i have kicking about in my living room

    Green air filters. Best quality cone filter out there

    My local auto factor wanted £80 for a standard S2000 filter!!!!! WTF!

    Ok, so if I get one of these to replace standard air box what else do I need to go with it? Bigger pipe heat sheild?

    If it's going on to a S3 it will go straight on to the MAF, if it's on a A3 then you'll need a silicone reducer, something around the 70-80mm mark to go between the MAF and cone. don't need a heat shield, when the air goes through the turbo it will be up to super high temperatures anyways so a heat-shield will make no difference
