A3 Clutch Size?

So time has come to replace the clutch and upon looking around on GSF it seems there is possibly two types and clutch to get for my A3 1.8T 1999 AGU engine. my quextion is without taking the clutch out, how do i know what size to get? is it the 220mm or 230mm?
Basiclt im wanting to buy the part before i take the car into the garage for them to fit it
