dension owners

think i might have the wrong cable with my dension pro BT, i take it the original audi power lead goes straight into the back of the head unit as it did before? if so it leaves the black connector (top of pic) redundant, surly there shouldnt be any redundant cables left?

the bottom two cables seem to fit in the HU no problem.

bought direct from dension and has the correct model number on it.

basically is this what your dension cable looked like?

On mine I had to plug the male plugs from the cars wiring loom into the female sockets of the dension, and the two male plugs on the dension into the head unit.

yer, i asummed that would be it but neither dension male fitting fits the power plug on the radio and neither female fittings on the denson fit the audi power cable.

all abit confusing lol

managed to fit it after dismantling the whole lower dash.

now i have another question, how do i change between different modes? i.e. bluetooth, USB, ipod.
took me ages to get USB working but i have no idea how i did it lol.
i dont have steering wheel controls

On mine pressing the CD button cycles through tape, aux or changer.
