Hi folks,
just done a autoscan with Vagcom on my S3 (2000) and it has logged a fault in the engine ECU.
Fault code 16795 - Secondary Air Injection System: Incorrect Flow Detected
P0411 - 35-10 - - - Intermittent

Has anyone encountered this fault code before and how to recify it.
I have an APR remap, could this cause an "incorrect flow" fault or have I a leak or something.

Cheers
Rusty

This system allows the cat to heat up more quickly on a cold start to reduce emmisions from the extra fuel required in cold engine situations.

There are a few basic checks you can do.

*Check fuse number 43 in car is okay.

*Check fuse S131 on battery is okay.

*Check the resistance of the secondary air inlet valve(N112) on the front of the engine. Resistance should be between 25-35ohms.

*Check voltage to N112 valve when engine is started.

*Check fuel pump relay (output from this relay operates secondary air relay).

*Check voltage to Secondary air pump relay

*Check voltage to secondary air inlet pump.

You may need to replace any of the above components.

Can you please tell me where the N112 valve is located and what it looks like.
The only thing I can see coming off the Secondary air hoses is a diaphram type valve that splits into a small vacuum hose and a steel pipe going to the exhaust manifold.

Also has anyone got an electrical schematic for an S3. I've hunted everywhere but with NO joy.

Cheers

Thanks Andy,
just what I was looking for.

Would it be possible for you to identify the other parts on the diagram or tell me where I can get the rest of the document.

Cheers
Rusty
