So there you have it..

Plus more...

...and it's very yellow!

Only by virtue of the fact that the road home goes that way...we did stop as far from Chav / Saxo land as possible though...I think we got away with it!

[ QUOTE ]

[/ QUOTE ]

I have none...yet...
It's typical 996 fayre...all black leather.

Man that is such a nice example! Hope you get as much fun and excitment out of it that it looks to offer bud /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif STUNNING! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/groovy.gif

No...not at all, I shall continue to stay as I'm not aware that Audi ownership is a pre-requisite for being a Moderator, and as there are still users around that require frequent antagonising, it would be churlish to leave now!

Looks lovely /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/1luvu.gif. I especially love the colour (but then I would say that /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif)

Not too sure about that front splitter though.

Shakey leg? - yup. Kept stalling it!

Giggle? I was laughing out loud for miles and miles...

[/ QUOTE ]

I was like this the first time I took out my S3 on the roads I know best.
Laughing out loud like a maniac, with shakey leg changing gears.
You just cant beat that feeling.

[ QUOTE ]
After a couple of hours I was getting a bit of confidence...roads were greasy and damp, temperature just above zero...time to go play! It power slides just bonnie!

[/ QUOTE ]

Enjoy it mate - just be careful in that lovely highland winter.

[ QUOTE ]

Proof, if it were needed, that I do actually drive it:

[/ QUOTE ]

I think that youre probably one of the people on the forum who doesnt have to prove that you DRIVE your cars Glen.

That was the one part I was slightly unsure of...but you can't fit the rear Aerokit without the front....otherwise the car becomes unstable at speed.

You see, the rear wing gives significant downforce over the rear, which in turn makes the front go light...too much air under the front = front lift = not good.
so, you need the front lower section to make the front lift neutral, before you can let the rear wing work.

Having seen it close up, on the car, it looks better than it does in pictures....overall I'm a happy bunny!

WOW! Glen, you've outdone yourself mate, excellent choice you have made there /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif LOL at the second set of photos, no holding you back is there?!

No point...it's not a garage queen!
No point in spending all that money on it, if you're not going to use it!

...and something that good should never be kept locked in a garage!

I'd expect nothing less from you glen than to drive it properly... have to get your moneys worth out of it dont you... Its a porsche after all and built for purpose! Just incredibly sexy. Cant imagine how it must be to drive. I would have been sleepless for weeks before and a little while after too... pro-plus and redbull at the ready. The feeling is just one that you get from nothing else... Especially the giggling /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/heart.gif

So whats the power delivery like? how does it pull in comparison to the S3? Did you get the power upgrade? Im take it the handling is as good as ever?

Rich

good choice dude i did the same, eats rear tyres tho i thought that maybe coz u were into the racing and going sideways sort of thing u would of gone for a 2 wheel drive car? becouse you have psm and even wen you turn that off it will turn its self back on to save you, when i first saw ur post i said "[censored]" u copyed my idea coz im looking for a speed yellow turbo with areokit but i want the techno wheels.... but anyway god damn good car u got there i love em

Congratulations......... I've often wondered about a porche, but never really got round to it! Keep us informed on progress.

V nice indeed matey. You cant beat a German motor! Especially one as fine as a porsche!

Just remember one thing, try not to give the car all your attention, friends and family will get jealous!!!

What have you named the lovely latey?

YOGi

Was it ever going to be anything else than some kind of 911 /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Only thing I don't understand is the colour, but it's good to know that's one 911 that will be used properly /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/beerchug.gif

Enjoy! It's lovely! Can't wait to see it at the next meet.

[/ QUOTE ]

I think so too...never seen a Speed Yellow C4S in the metal before, and certainly not with an Aerokit and GT3 wheels!
I'm just so chuffed with it!

[ QUOTE ]

Cant imagine how it must be to drive.

[/ QUOTE ]

One word:
Sublime!

[ QUOTE ]

[/ QUOTE ]

Power delivery is perfect, linear, punchy, not lacking in any way...and with an induction note to die for! An engine with proper soul.

[ QUOTE ]

Did you get the power upgrade?

[/ QUOTE ]

Nah...didn't see the need.
I spent the £6000 elsewhere...on things that are likely to give better gains.

[ QUOTE ]

[/ QUOTE ]

Only had the chance to drive for a few hours before heading offshore...bit if ther greasy, cold road performance is anything to go by...it's be amazing!

Roll on Thursday...home to play!

It is indeed a very nice motor and goes as well as it looks. After following it home from the dealership, the sports exhaust was worth every penny

was the noggy blue one in that link your first choice glen? thats the first porsche ive seen in noggy blue and it looked awesome, especially the interior

[/ QUOTE ]

No, the first one (the Turbo) was a complete wind up...just came accross it while researching this one.

My car IS my ideal and perfect choice...I opted for everything I wanted...right down to pushing Porsche GB to get the wheels I wanted.

I don't actually like the Nogaro Blue one as much as mine...in particular the interior...it just doesn't work, for me.

I guess I'm fortunate that I was able to have absolutely everything I wanted this time round...the model, the options and the colour.

[/ QUOTE ]

A couple of factors I thought about...I wanted the eide body as I find it prettier, I wanted the 4WD because of where I live, and I wanted the upgraded chassis because of the roads I drive...a C2 would have been nice, but for me, the C4S would be much quicker everywhere.

Tyre wear will be what it is...annoying, probably!

Good luck with your search...your's will turn up!

well i wasn't far out with the gt3 guess.On a sidenote anyone have any idea how a 964 or 993 c4/c3 would compare to a chipped s3?

What's to understand about the colour?
Speed Yellow suits any 911 with a fixed Aerokit, in my view.

Who wants to spend that kind of cash and blend in?

Actually, the facination for Speed Yellow comes from my old Managers GT3 that I had a few laps of Knockhill in...it was Speed Yellow...that's where the perversion for Speed Yellow started.
