Yeah, my current A4 was from V4B and the promised early March was actually mid to late May, this time I’m with Select Car Leasing and they have an online portal with dealer updates, and the ability to send the dealer messages.. it also shows ETA and when the dealer last updated it.
If it actually makes a difference... we’ll see.

So my car finally arrived in the UK over night! Stupidly excited to pick up, but I'm holding off until March for the 18 plate so still a little while to wait, although I'm very very tempted to just go and collect earlier

Was through leasehub.co.uk but due to the crap updates I actually rang the Audi dealer who the order was placed with direct and got given the bed news.
The finance is via Audi finance so the broker has only sourced it, everything after delivery would have been with Audi direct.
Spoke to my local dealer today and put a deposit on a A4 Avant sport in white.
Going to look at it tomorrow as I really wanted a black saloon but have been told there are none available in the UK so far
I’m also keeping my options open, going to BMW, Mercedes and Infinity tomorrow to see what they can offer me

My car is in the paint shop today. When does that mean that it will be ready to go on a ship ?
Our cars arrived at sheerness on the same day and mine is still status 40!
My dealer said the car was meant to arrive in the PDI centre yesterday but it is still status 40 today.
I have a collection appointment booked on Tuesday - hope this doesn't shift given the tracker is saying its still at the docks!
I think the tracker tends to be at least a day behind reality...

On reflection, the tracker is a bit of a disingenuous marketing tool to make you believe that your mass produced VAG fodder is hand crafted. It's not, the process is identical to any mass produced VW or Skoda, it probably takes 20 hours in total, not 5 days. Which is totally understandable at the low price I am paying for it !
Having said all this, it's very very clever marketing and good expectation management. They absolutely knew from day 1 that my car was being made on 29 Jan (in a day) and surprise surprise the assembly is going to happen on 29th despite them having teased me with an early start for the past week about chasing synthetic cows, mixing paint by hand, pressing my panels and carressing them with a white silk glove, asking Gunther to cut his dirty holiday with Petra short to fly back early to inspect my car personally as he is the best with black 1.4 Avant. Etc etc.

My A4 Black Edition left the factory late last week but hasn’t made it onto a boat yet, according to the tracker. I enjoyed it telling me it was going to get the emu feather treatment before painting!

No word from the dealer yet. Still have our collection booked tomorrow at 6pm.
I don't know if it makes a difference but he said the car is going to the prep centre first (a different location) last thursday and they were expecting delivery of it to the dealership on 30/1/2018 in the AM.

I think they could improve the app to show a video of your car. Audi dealerships have Audi cam why don't they in production!

Although my A5 was build week 5 supposed to start today and it's already going through quality control so it's nice to know and keep an eye on!
How long is a car in transport for? My car has just moved into Quality Control so should be on its way soon. I want it for a March 18 plate but the dealer can only keep it for a short time so they may force me to have it mid Feb I guess.

Surely they can spit these things out in a few hours - there is no way on earth a couple of blokes have spent 48 hours looking over a mass produced car....

think the dealers will want to move it on as soon as possible, mine was registered early Jan but i wont be picking it up till 9 Feb

Audi A4 S-Line 1.4 TFSi with TECH pack and fine Nappa leather in Daytona Grey.
I got a great 20% discount which enabled me to upgrade to the S-Line with a few forced added options (as it’s a cancellation) as I could only afford the sport previously with no upgrades at all so very very happy.
It gets delivered mid Feb ready for pick up on 1st March.
Never ordered a new car before but I’ve been told with the massive wait in my first order and the 2 cars the dealer offered that didn’t materialise I’ve been very unlucky and it seemed like it wasn’t to be.
Only negative is I have to get a train 100mile away to pick it up, but I’ll make a day of it so not really bothered.
So glad the nightmare is over! Roll on March!

Still at status 40 but collecting tomorrow in the evening. Maybe the trackers bugged or the dealer hasn’t caught on yet.
