Nevermind it was on it last night! From Audi;

Good evening, John. Your order is at status code 40 and has arrived at the UK port of Grimsby today. If the ship arrives during the working week, vehicles take on average 24 hours to be unloaded. The car can wait for up to one week to be assigned to a transporter for delivery to the Centre. Once on the transporter, the timescale for delivery to the Centre is three to five working days.

Post again when you work out when it’s due at dealer, as I suspect my Q5 will be on the same transporter to Crewe

My A6 arrived in Grimsby on Sunday. Have been told by Audi CS there is a back log of cars due to the storm last week and Audi contracting extra ships to get cars over. Going to chase with dealer if not heard anything by the end of the week.

Bad news today. May not be able to collect new car on the 29th. Doncaster Audi have more than 40 cars waiting at UK port to get transported to dealership. Guy was fully apologetic and manager called to apologise. I’ve asked they do all they can as I’m down south this week. Here’s hoping lucks on my side and it’s ready to go on Friday

I'm in the same boat as many on here I imagine... new car is stuck in the backlog in Emden. It's got me wondering how concrete my PX price is - could Audi decide my car is worth less because of the delays and extra mileage?

I’ve got a guarantee in writing that they’ll honour the Part Ex price originally stated. I’d speak to your dealer and ask the question, prevent any surprises

My car arrived in Grimsby on Sunday 24th March and was told there was a delay and it would take longer to get to the dealer maybe upto3 weeks due to back log of cars.. I got a call from my dealer (stafford audi) today..that the car has arrived at the dearlership and just confirmed a collection date.

Great news. Mine got in the day before yours but as yet is still at port although transport order is raised. Audi Crewe says that they expect in Tue/Wed next week but no collection date yet.

Well my order is in a right mess.

My old lease expired on 21st March. The week before I was trying to decide whether to extend for a month, but the dealer assured me (actually in writing by e-mail on 14th March) that my new A4 was currently in the port at Sheerness and to expect the car within a week or so. I returned my car on 21st March.

Today I get a call telling me the car is stuck in the hold up at Emden!

So unless they put the car back on a ship to Germany, then the e-mail he sent me on the 14th was a blatant lie.

I suspect that they’d give you a car to use should you push the issue. Especially considering you have written evidence

£500 price increase on the S3 Sportback this morning. Not sure on the rest of the range. I’m also not sure how that impacts factory orders. I’d like to think your deal is fixed at the time you place your order but best to check the small print

After some confusion and delay with getting cars from UK port to the dealership, I’m finally picking my new car up on Thursday. I did check about the price increase and was assured this didn’t affect me as I had placed the order before the price increase. Absolutely buzzing

Existing orders would normally be unaffected, if not then kick up a fuss as you can then technically pull out as terms have changed.

To be fair, both DTD and the dealer informed me this may be likely but couldn’t or wouldn’t confirm it. The only bit that’s a little odd Is DTD taking my card details for a deposit but the dealer not charging it until my car is in the UK. Effectively, I would think that doesn’t put me in contract with Audi directly until they have the car and post price increase. Even the finance quote from Audi finance states subject to price increases so they got me. My only hope is if the order is now with the factory and they price it as per order confirmation date and not delivery date. I confirmed the order on the 20th March and am due a quoted May delivery. I’m not sure how Audi normally behave in those circumstances but can guess. It’s a ******, but not a deal breaker. The tax is the tough one to swallow, not the cost of the car. I’ve asked for confirmation but it is what it is. Car looks great by the way. Hope your enjoying it

Mines still Code40 after 9 days, has anyone experienced the code being wrong this past few weeks and it just turns up at dealership without any update in between?

I only ask because my dealer expected the car in tomorrow.

Frustrating isn’t it :(

At least you have heard from them, I have no reply since I emailed Crewe last Wednesday - very poor. I’ve given up fretting now, just gonna wait for the call / tracker update.

Maybe my guy is off work, who knows lol. Tracker has gone to 60 overnight so maybe it’ll arrive today or tomorrow.

Nice, I called them again myself today and they said it's not arrived nor is it due in tomorrow, I have to call back Thu. Looks like late next week at the earliest for me.

So my dealer just called to say that apparently my car was showing on the Audi system as in Sheerness, but it changed back to Emden! Apparently the backlog has messed up the system and staff are having to manually update the progress which is resulting in errors.

He said cars that are showing in Emden for several weeks are literally turning up at the dealership the next day.

Apparently the backlog in Emden is so bad that they are just trying to get as many cars through, as quickly as possible. This means the order is messed up and some cars that arrive at port today will go straight on a boat, whilst others have been sat there for 2 weeks plus. He said there are pockets of cars that are stuck and simply not moving.

They are however providing me with a car from tomorrow until mine turns up.

Thanks man. That sounds strange. Mine arrived Monday night and turned around for Thursday. I’d push them, seeing as you’ve waited this long now

That's the second rise in 3 months, £360 in January and now £500.
£860 for less ***, 310ps to 300ps and no Audi Beam. Only Audi think this is ok :wtf:

Base S3 Sportback price March 2016 @ £32465 plus delivery, tax & new car reg

Base S3 Sportback price April 2019 @ £35,775 plus delivery, Tax & new car reg

I am however getting a far better deal on my new build so it’s in fact costing me much less. The only pitiful is the tax

I guess it only becomes relevant when you’re looking to buy so they can creep it up as often as they like, I think it’s reviewed each quarter. Be interesting if anyone has the cost back in 2012 / 13. Isn’t that when the 8v first started production?
Options haven’t gone up in line with car cost in the latest increase (something to be thankful for lol).

For what it’s worth, I see price increases each April across a broad range of suppliers I deal with through work and most put it down to increased material cost. Anything from 2 - 4% each year. Very rare indeed for prices to be cut unless through selected offers.

It won’t just be an Audi thing but unless your in the market, you wouldn’t even notice. Shop wisely and bigger list equals bigger discount!

Hate to say it, and stir up trouble, but sounds like the Brexit thing to me.
Shortly after things kicked off I was speaking to a parent of a pupil I used to teach, the senior salesman at a local Ford branch. As "just in time" ordering is now the norm he as good as promised we would see 3 monthly price increases on new vehicles. I think he may have been proved correct.

Hi everyone

Ordered a A3 Saloon 1.5 TFSI S-Tronic Black Edition ( + Comfort and Sound pack in Mythos black) in early January 2019, and still have received no build date or any confirmations on the Audi tracking app or from the dealer, I have an order number and also a screenshot of the order from Audi but I'm getting little to no reasoning as to why this is taking so long to get the order through or any progress updates, dealership seem to be in the dark about it all

I wasn't aware the WLTP affected the A3 saloon so correct me if I'm wrong! But its frustrating that the dealership we're quick to get me in and upgrade my current Audi, and said the new one would be here by March

Try contacting Audi UK on Facebook, send them a FB message asking for an update on your order. Given them the order number and they should be able to provide a status. If they cant i would personally be going to the dealer to ask about progress.

Hi mate, did that today - messaged the Facebook page and they said that a build week hasn’t been allocated yet and they’ll have an update by Friday.

Dealership is pretty much useless, they first said to me there’s a delay on the production because they couldn’t make enough of the new wheels for the new black editions, then they said black editions in general are in high demand and are a different production line and then said cars got damaged at the ports when the UK had those crazy winds a while back.

They also said they had Audi UK in last week but doesn’t seem like anything materialised from it.

Just irritating asf now because I’ve had nothing but problems with Audi since I got my first one and the only reason we stayed is because we got out of the current PCP without paying anything due to problem after problem with the car. Think at one point I drove more loan/courtesy cars over a 3 month period than my own last summer!

Yeah that’s what I get ****** annoying :blue:

What have you ordered Ian? My A5 was due to be built Week 14 (W/C April 1st) and just had an email from my salesman that the car is on the way to the UK.

Unfortunately the Audi UK Log in page (to track the build) hasn't worked at all for me. Have you managed to add your order to your account? mine never picked up my order number even during the build week.
