/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif When I let of the throttle if I am not 100% smooth with my foot (which is quite alot) the car jerks - or is it a surge. Very difficult to describe. It tends to be after accelerating, let off and the car kind of lurches. Could this be turbo related maybe? Or someting else.... A mate suggested the MAF. Someone else throttle bodies. Or could it be throttle cable or electronics? I am used to it so most of the time I can stop it by smoothing it out with my right foot (pedal not kicking the car!). It is annoying cos it makes me look like I just passed my test! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Well, if you are in 1st gear, and let off the accelerator, it does tend to jerk.... I know VW's (mk2 era) are quite bad for this... but it depends on how hard you are accelerating... if u have your foot to the floor and then drop the accelerator, it will obviously jerk... but if its just in normal driving i would get it checked out.

It's at any speed - just through normal driving. It's as if the power surges before shutting off - but I can normally avoid it by feathering off the throttle slowly. Sometimes it gets the better of me though... The car is going for a service soon, so hopefully they can take a look and shed some light on it. I have decided to stop using Audi and use AmD instead.

Thats a good idea... I had my car serviced last month at Oxford Audi, and it was the bargain price of £180 for a major service - Meant that i kept my warranty also... plus they didnt even say anything about it being chipped!

Will get it done at AmD next time tho i reckon. Hopefully they will be able to sort th problem out.

My car is out of warranty now so I have no issue with going to AmD, mainly because they are local and they specialise in Audi... £20+ per hour cheaper too!

Yeah!

For my A3 1.8T (AGU) they charge £196+Vat and any other parts they need.

That sounds like a plan... Cheers! How many of these are required, are they quick and easy to change? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif
