AMD and you guys here are slowly cleaning me out!

After reading a lot of threads here, and getting fed up with the roll and squashy ride of the standard S3,especially with a lot more power to show that up,I've bitten the bullet and bought the KWv3 system and Eibach ARBs.

What a transformation....the body roll is gone, and the car no longer bounces after every bump in the road.

The ride quality hasn't been ruined and if anything is better as the car doesn't pitch and bounce all the time, and the roadholding is obviously improved.

Early days yet,but why Audi don't fit this,or offer it as an option I don't know.

Sweet! Do you have it sitting on the floor or just a few cm lower?
I think they are a "must have" once the car is tuned.

The advice was not to go more than 25mm lower without upsetting the geometry or the handling.

Another bit of advice was to leave everything alone for a week or two not just for me to get used to it,but also for the system to settle a bit.

Finally some1 who sees the benefit of coilovers :applaus:

Hi N8....I had a fully adjustable rose-jointed setup on my Escort, which had amazing control over bumps, but needed re-valving every 3000-5000 miles and also needed the rosejoints attending to pretty often.

The benefits of having the springs and dampers in the same axis are very noticeable, and some of the squirming under braking has also gone, but it's been replaced by a bit of oversteer, which will take a few days to get used to again, after understeer!.

The Escort was noted for it's tendency to snap oversteer, and to be honest, this isn't a million miles away now both in terms of damping control and feel.

Have to say...the advice from AMD,and people here has usually been spot on.

To say the car feels better is an understatement, and really does give you an idea of what it could have been from the start,IF Audi had a mind to do it.
