Hello!

I'm not quite sure if this would be model specific, but anyways:
Today I disconnected my battery as i was going to remove the glovebox and disconnect it.
When I reconnecrted the battery a few hours later, and started the car, I got a sound signal and the lamp for electric power steering lightened up in red, and then turned yellow after about a second. I tried driveng back and forth as well as swinging the steering wheel all the way left and right. Turning the ignitiond/engine on or off did not change anything.:sadlike:

If it matters, my car is a 2007 Audi A3 Sportsback, 2.0 diesel.
Is there any way to fix this myself, or will i have to call the repair shop?

Thank you in advance!

It should go out itself, do a bit more than just a few feet driving back and forward.

Okay, sounds like I'm gonna go for a ride then :)

Drive 10 metres forward then full lock both directions, straighten the wheel and reverse back the same 10 metres.
This should reset the steering angle sensor.
