Xtrons with non Bose?

Im looking for a new headunit, would ideally like an RNSE but so far havent found a decent unit that isnt a mad price. I've just been looking at the Xtrons units for the B7 which seem really good. However my car is non bose and for these units they say:

"Please note that if your vehicle has no BOSE system, but it has the audio port, you need to ask for a professional technician to make some modifications of the wires connection; otherwise, your rear amplifier speakers will NOT have sound."

Anyone with non Bose fitted one of these? What does it mean?

Are these units worth it or is it best to stick with OEM?

I have the Bose unit so bear this in mind with my reply.

The units work fine. I had to push them to send me a little box to plug in to the back so that the high pitch whining sound would go away.

In terms of audio quality it’s ok. Filter thing might diminish something.

Have a look at the faq section on their website about rear speakers not working, I’m pretty sure it’s a simple thing to do..

Although as you can see by the replies to the post it doenn't make it that clear what to do? Mentions ordering another speaker adapter but no reference to which one?

Think it'll be easier to just stick with an RNSE...
