Anyone else fed up with it already? First year since 2017 we’ve had a tree up ( owing to deaths in family in December) all cards in bin, tree down and everything packed away. roll on March, brighter days, daffodils and general anticipation of spring and summer.
Family drama the gift that keeps on giving. Not even with them and something still goes down Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
It gets on my T1t's! Generally a load of stress and nonsense, I like the time off and sitting in front of the goggle slab with a big glass of Kraken & ice and a roaring fire but that's about it, not religious in the slightest so once the kids are fully fledged that's going to be about it for me no more taking part in the big farce that has basically been hijacked by the retail giant's. When people start putting up decorations in Oct/Nov it makes me want to creep out at night with a big pair of scissors and start snipping wires...
I really can’t believe just how much we have in common. Very much with you on the sneak round under cover of darkness with wire cutters if Xmas came once every 10 yrs it would be too soon
Last night the wife was on zoom with some relatives I’ve probably seen twice in 15 years. I thought stuff that I’m playing my Nintendo switch in another room. I heard one of them say halfway through the conversation is Nathan coming on? I said no sorry I’m on a role on the Witcher 3 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Perhaps I’m missing the point of if all, but for me and my family, massive get togethers seem to be more suited to period dramas or Victorian times. I think the last time I recall any more than about 6-7 folkes got together in my family was millennium , that was death by buffet, it were like the 12 days of Xmas, another Buffett followed by yet another one. Thank fully I was working nights right through Xmas and new year back then
