Wrapping chrome windows and grill surrounds

Thinking about wrapping my chrome window and grill surrounds, local vehicle wrapper company have quoted £80 to do this with glossy black finish. Worth doing? Can it look good if done properly?

Does that Wrapping Chip easy?

Cant you just Replace the Chrome Inserts/Surrounds for Gloss Black ones?

I've had this done! Worked excellent on the wndows and been on a good while now without any issues. The grill looked appauling so I bought a new black one and inserts from Audi - £580

I was told its a huge job to replace the window surrounds but stand to be corrected!

Mine was front bumper off job, I can confirm 8000 miles later it still looks the same as when left sign writers, 2 very minor cracks where the wrap was jointed around the windows but I am being picky.

Cost was about £220 iirc .

I had mine done too. Window surrounds and grille with the chrome strips on the fog lights done too. For £100

Appauling on the grill! In what way?

Did the bumper have to come off?

Bumper had to come off to replace the grill but not for the wrapping.

It looked appalling on the grill because on the S3, the bars running across aren't a solid bar they have an extruded looking profile so they couldn't wrap those. So I was left with the surround in black with the bars in brushed metal and just looked like a dogs dinner IMO.
