So, after a long, long wait, my RS has finally arrived. You guys on here have kept me going with your pictures, write ups and discussions... But there's nothing like the real thing. Pictures just don't do justice. I went for misano with "those" wheels :laugh:
I know they're very much a marmite option, but in the flesh with the black optics it all sits together real nice to my eyes.
Well, enough waffle, here's some pics - more to come once the detailing has been finished!

Thanks, Sandra :) I managed to get there as it literally rolled off the transporter.. I talked them in to letting me keep that protective cover too! It's amazing, zips for the doors, fuel cap, everything! You can actually drive the car with it on lol.. Apparently it's only the "R" models that get that type of cover;)

Its truly a fantastic looking car, love the number plate as well. Thats good you get to keep the cover, i dont know how you managed to contain yourself, im just glad your enjoying it and it was worth the wait. You must have a huge permanent grin on your face. :) x

I can, cos I liked them, and it makes mine stand out... What I can't believe is that I've got a boxful of pm's asking me to measure my logos on my mats so everyone else can rip them off for next to nothing. :slapped:
And size knobby, was actually trying to click "thank you" for the lovely rs3 comment

It was a close run thing, I really like it in Daytona with all the matt alu pack too goes together well with titanium finish wheels, but I very nearly got it in sepang with exclusive wheels (blue rims) and buckets with blue stitching.. Happy with my choice though, pearl looks :wub: in the sun

Your we're lucky to keep the wrapping & get to unwrap yours. I just got the honour of whipping off a standard all in one dust cover in the showroom when I saw mine. Like the plates, make me wish I got them :keule:I eventually got my free mats today & was p*$$ed off as they swapped the ones with white pipping to ones with black pipping. WHY, WTF! Who would want to change standard mats for standard mats. Yes my Dad was intending on buying the RS mats, but my Dad asked them to throw them in for free which the Finance Manager was going to do if I gave my Sales Rep 100% Satisfaction despite having to wait over 1yr for the car with little regular update or apology from Audi. So now I will have to find the posts somewhere on here re the RS3 @ the sensible price then take my car to get the Copperslip solution Added which they never bothered to do as the say brake squeal as normal!
pSorry, my local Audi keeps putting me in an :banghead: mood.

Dont make it easy for yourself with those choice, haha
Just think of a sprint blue with black/Grey wheels...
Youve got me fantasising now :)

Or cornflower blue with grey wheels, even:

I like the red, it goes with the engine, interior lighting and RS badges better:p not to mention I've always liked the way the rear lights "disappear" on a red car.. Although all the colours look good really.. Variety is the spice of life

It looks stunning, did the paint need much correction? I have heard horrible stories about the state of new car paintwork.
Not loads of paint correction, but some was needed - Dennis is a perfectionist lol. After the usual clay barring etc, he MOP'd the car which sorted the little bits out, and added a real deep gloss, before sealing and adding a wax to compliment and "pop" rather than mute the flake.. :yum:

Wheels = :sadlike: :puke2:

Plate = :rock: :lmfao:

Seats = :crying::sob::hubbahubba::wub::thumbsup:
cheers mart! I love my rims though, but they only go with red, black optics and colour coded mirrors.. Personal preference I guess...?

My friend said that I treat my car like a tart and that I should tuck it in with a blanket....:huh: So I have :lmfao:

Its a fully tailored cover for the rs3 specifically, from specialisedcarcovers and fits like a glove all round.
Apologies for the shocking pics, I will use my dslr one day... :D ............and I know it's not quite pulled tight, it's pretty tricky for me to put it on. It has a very soft lining inside so should be good as a dust cover indoors (it's not waterproof) . I have to say, it is thicker than I was expecting and will be pretty good against anyone rubbing the paint lol

Black Wheels are for the bold. An obvious contrast for all colours.

You dont buy an RS3 to blend into the background ,do you.

Get Painting...you know it makes sense.

Wow sprint blue looks amazing
only if it had the black optics haha I'm too fussy
Gald I don't have to make the decisions between them.

Right, at the OP's request I have tidied up the posts in here. I had seen it before, but personally felt that a few other cars in here was interesting, it's not like the forum is chockablock of RS3's!

So please just comment and discuss accordingly without hijacking.

Cheers :icon_thumright:

Very nice did you have them covered or did you source the extended leather pieces.

Just got my pressed plates and surrounds through from dubmeister.. Following jerseypaul's lead I removed the front plate holder, and now I just don't want to put a plate on the front at all - it just looks so right :o.k: .... Wonder how long I'll get away with having the plate in my footwell!?
