Help Please Wiring up a towbar smart relay?

Morning, I'm looking for some advice on how to wire my towbar electrics up on my A4 Avant to a smart relay. If anyone has done this any pointers would be great, my current problem is determining what wires to splice into going to the rear cluster so I can connect to the smart relay. Also what method would be best for cutting and jointing into the wires?

My rear clusters are LED brake and tail lights and filament for the rest.

I originally was going to get the plug and play electrics as I have the red plug in the boot but the kit cost a fortune and then I need it coding as well.
