Can someone please share semi complete wiring diagram for the S5 V8 2008.

Thank you

Can't provide full car wirings, but if you need some specific diagrams you can ask.

I need all harnesses diagrams regarding the engine bay - ECM - and power distribution :)

I think I’m able to reduce the scope for now.

need the diagram showing from the ECM —> Relay —> 15a Fuse —> this powers multiple things including Fuel pressure regulator / engine mount solenoid etc.

This is the circuit I need to check for intermittent shorts.

Hope this helps!

Thanks a lot

did find a short to ground on this Fuse F8
so hoping to use your diagram to disconnect the connectors until it goes high impedance

edit: do you know how to correlate the fuse numbers from your diagram to the Fuse 8. Is the naming convention matching.

I spotted the fuse convention was wrong between google and Elsa

Actually chasing Fuse 5, the brown fuse has a 1.8ohm short on the output side (this could be normal considering it’s driving solenoids), but also the input side is only getting 3V…

Any chance someone could explain what this random number 46 on top represents. I’m not able to search 46 to find another point it just joins to.

I’ve had the luxury from work to use car superior wiring diagrams from JLR, the convention used on ELSA is pretty poor.

Amazing engineering by Audi. Just put everything onto a single 15A fuse:

The 46 is the circuit track number that appears at the bottom of each diagram .

So look at the bottom of the diagrams and find 46. And you will see the matching 106 which is fed from J757 - Engine component current supply relay, and feeds multiple circuits.

So the fuse feeds sensors and relays engine mounts etc via the D111 circuit.

The two diagrams above show all the circuits fed by that d111 supply. The ECU operates the relays, valves etc by providing a 0v path.
How intermittently is the fuse blowing? You could try disconnecting certain things like engine mounts which won't stop the engine running and see if this helps. problem you have is tring to get too a lot of these connectors is they will be buried out of the way. Good luck.

Thanks a lot for the explanation on how to use ELSA diagrams it's been very useful.

With regards to problem 1 (short to ground) - I've found a solid ground to use for testing the fuse, and found it's a fluctuating short 0.1-0.5 ohms (after zeroing out the probes). it instantaneously blew the fuse after replacing it, and bridged relay A which isn't turning on (which is the second problem on the control of the relay or the relay itself being defective) - will worry about this after.

What I'm doing now is got the meter connected and just disconnecting connectors which I can access. it's very cramped

I would be looking at the engine mounts first I think if you can get to them. On my A4 the engine mount basically disintergrated on the engine side and was in a few pieces. There is a possibility that the positive supply to the mount could be shorted there.

Cheers I’ve just got the wheels off and got it on axle stands to check those first (the seller was an electrician and told me he had already replaced that as a one of the causes). None the less don’t trust someone else’s diagnosis since he failed to get it working again.

I’ve got an online website version of elsawin- it’s amazing

Lol first connector I removed and it’s gone from 0.2ohms tk 7.5k.

this fuse helped stabiles the short reading to 0.2 ohms

She’s purring! How hard is it to replace one of the mounts. Driver side.

Guy has just informed me he replaced both engine mounts with brand new parts. The one I disconnected for sure is dead…. Hmmmmmmmm

So measuring with respect to engine ground inside the orange connector for the engine mount I have 26 ohms and 0.2ohm inside the 2 pin connector.
