Wipers and indicators not working

Hi Guys..

My wipers and indicators isnt working.my mechanic did this just for it to work temporary it solves the problem but this isnt an answer to the problem do you know what the underlying issue might me.

Currently even if the ignition is turned off if i forget the wipers on it will stay on.i need it to work normal with any dodgy fixes like the one in the picture

Did you try changing the arms?

Please can you try updating your existing threads rather than start new ones as it plays havoc with searches trying to find a solution to similar issues

Did you try changing the arms?

No i didn't. Because the arms works okay when bypassed as you can see in the photo. So isnt that saying it works and that there is another problem.
