Wing Mirror Folding

Hi all,

I've noticed that one side mirror in particular is a bit slow to unfold when starting the car up, has anyone attempted getting in to lubricate them? I think an early intervention with a bit of grease now may stop me having to shell out for burnt out motor in the future.

Check your battery, if its low or old, given colder weather, this can cause slow folding also.

My drivers side is slower to unfold. I’m on the original battery though. Cars on a 64 plate
Will be interesting to see if a new battery solves this issue.

Drivers side isnt slower so to speak,its angled differently so it takes longer, they dont have equal angles as you're not sitting in the middle of the car.

I would have thought that, that’s why the glass is angled differently on Botha sides. But the actual folding mirror housing would fold up the same on both sides. Otherwise the it would look odd
