windscreen demist problem

hello there iv got a problem with my windscreen iv got a r reg a3 with non ac and i cant make the air come out on the windscreen vents to clear themist ...very bad wrecking my head
any help pleaee

no the air isnt damp and its hot out the main vents
just no air out the windscreen one ...?

I read it like the air was coming out but not clearing the mist.
But if the air is not coming out at all, it could be the flat in the heater box not directing the air coming out.

I don't know if they are motor driven or not.

arr got ya ..i havent got a clue to be honest mate my first audi ....but its a good one apart from the little niggles

no not at all ....just comes out the main vents ...!

if you have the old dial controls on the dash then they're cable operated, and presumably one of the cables has come adrift from the control or the heater box.

If its electronic, then the stepper motor that adjusts the air direction is presumably broken.

iv got to the controll and its attached to that maby its come a float from the heater box ..took the glove box out and cant get to the other end ..
any idears how to get at it >??
