please help,
family member has a 60 plate 1.4 A1
purchased as a ex-demo from a main audi agent with minimal miles on the clock back when a 60 plate was near new.
the windscreen demister has stopped working, so in it goes for a diagnostics check - comes back saying the the motor & servo need replacing at a total of 210 + VAT
but the big kick in the balls is the labour charge at 850 odd!!!!!! assuming the dash has to come out for this job?
can anyone shed some light on this issue? had this issue? seen some DIY images online but i'm certainly not capable of taking the dash out (if that is the case?)
furthermore, we are based in Bromley, kent - any one know of some local specialists who would be willing to take this type of job on?
