I dont have a build thread as I have no idea how long my mods will take or what I might end up with, but I did search for a while for pics of cars with the new rear lights and window tints to help me make up my mind. These 2 changes have been done now so since the weather was nice and id washed the car this weekend I thought I would take some pics while its clean and post them up. My car is a 2005 2.0tdi. The windows are tinted with 7% on the back, 35% on the 2 rear side windows and the darkest you can legally on the front two. I didnt want to go too dark on the side rears as I wanted the tints to fade darker into the back. Mods on the way include - black grill (but keeping the silver rings so my front matches the back ie. all black apart from the rings)| lamin-x headlight tints (Ash's murdered out look inspired this!) | wheels | lowering | bigger brakes with coloured calipers | aftermarket headlights with drl's | maybe S-line front and rear bumpers with side skirts if i can find them! and im sure there will be more that pop up the longer im a member here!

:thumbsup: I chose the MY11 over the MY09 because the cars black and the MY11 have the tinted edges, unfortunately I dont have a before pic to show you the old lights but the new lights are so much nicer than what I had before. I would recommend them to everyone. Quick shout to NHN on here who I ordered the lights from, pleasure to deal with and delivered in 2 days!

Car looks good but don't be surprised if you get asked to peel off the tint on the front windows if you get pulled by a power crazed pod because nothing is allowed on the front, the front windows are tinted as much as you can legally have them done from the factory. Don't get me wrong, I'm not slagging it because mine are done on the front like that on my SB they also look the same sorta shade as yours. I think the tinter may have slightly mislead you when you had them done that's all I'm saying pal.
TBH I've had the same tints on now 5 cars with the same company since 97 iirc, havnt been pulled once & had fronts on all, but minimally, think comes down to your car & driving styles, if you drive to attract attention, thats exactly what they will give you & there undivided aswell, even if they have no valid reason to pull you, they will use that as at least something to boost the ego, now thats not to say every copper is the same, but we have probably all experienced an overzealous plod.
TBH common sense prevails here of which some seem to have none, if you are IMHO stupid enough to stick limo black all round, then you might aswell just buy a bus pass & park up your car in the police impound & hand them the keys.
