Window sticker and protective film removal

Hi All

I just brought an old fiesta to play around with, trying to bring it back to pristine condition just as a little project.
its got a few stickers on the windscreen and rear window that are pretty well stuck on, what the best way to remove these? any tricks?

Also, while I'm here, on the side panels there is a protective film that comes about half way up the door and covers both sides, giving it a slight colour contrast, it has peeled away in some areas and I think it might look better if I completely remove them as I don't think its something that can be repaired. again, are there any tricks or is there any best way to do this?

WD40 on the stickers, hot air gun ( go careful ) or hair dryer on the film.

thanks, will hairdryer do on the film, looks quite brittle but thats probably because of age. hopefully this pic will help
