Will 6000k D2s bulbs work with standard ballasts?

Looking to upgrade my dips on the S3 for that white look, just wondering do I have to get a new complete kit of ballasts and bulbs or just change the bulbs for 6000k's, will they work? or is it the ballasts that make the colour?

Yes they will work no need to change the ballasts

You only need replacemnt bulbs. The bulbs are a straight swop and do make a considerable improvement. The E bay copys are hit and miss. I had to buy 2 sets to get one working set, but they are cheap enough.

With regards to fitting. The right hand side is easy to fit with the battery removed to improve access.
The left hand side is fiddly as theres not much access, but persevere and you'll get there. Be sure to fit the bulbs in the same orientation as the ones fitted as there are 3 raised locating spigots on the plastic bulb housing that the bulb facia sits against. If these aren't ligned up you won't be able to fully locate the plastic locking ring.
