Who's running de-cat?

Im running a Scorpion de-cat with a non res stock exhaust on my S3. Also Apr stage 2 software, the issue is the car sounds horrible. Really tinny at low revs then once it gets to 3k to 4k it sounds like a really harsh metallic sort of rasp/rattle, then 4k onwards it sounds pretty good. Are they all like this? im going to re-install the resonator and see what that does.

Not the first time I’ve heard this problem, the standard exhaust seems to be a nice balance. I’m not going Stage 2 but if I did I’d only change the down pipe to suit.
I guess it all depends on how much of a racket you can bear

I’ll get the resonator on and hopefully it’ll sound better. I’m to embarrassed to put my foot down....

I’m currently running Stage 1 with res delete. Will be booking in to get my scorpion down decat pipe on next month and going Stage 2. Res pipe will 100% be going back on prior to down pipe being fitted. Can imagine it sounding terrible both in and out cabin!
Effectively running a full stainless steel to mild steel exhaust will no silencers/resonators.
